He reached a career-high ATP ranking of 596 in 2014, but the grueling nature of the tennis circuit—both mentally and financially—took its toll. He ultimately transitioned to padel full-time after a period of personal upheaval, including his father’s illness, which forced him to stop traveling for tennis. He found that padel offered a "mental peace" and a sense of community that tennis lacked. - Playing Style: Known for his creativity and unpredictability (hence the nickname "El Loco"). He is a fast, complete player who currently competes on the left side of the court. - Career-high Premier Padel ranking is No. 40 in 2025; - Current Standing in 2026, he is ranked 53th in the FIP World Rankings; - Flagship player in the USA Pro Padel League (PPL) since its inception; - Mexican citizenship, which will see him lead Mexico in the upcoming World Championship. His Goals: Ambition with Clarity Torre’s goals for the 2026 season and beyond are a blend of professional ambition and personal well-being. Having already established himself as a "legend" on the A1 circuit, his new focus is on the global stage. 1. Finding Stability with Partners In a sport where "partner swapping" is frequent and often chaotic, Torre values long-term projects. For 2026, he has paired up with Lucho Capra as his official Partner. His goal is to build a chemistry that allows them to move from being "underdogs" to consistent quarter-finalists or better. 2. Reaching the Top 30 While he is currently hovering around the Top 50, his technical skill suggests a higher ceiling. A key objective for the current season is to break into the Top 30, which would provide better seeding and easier paths through tournament draws.
